Days 5 and 6: Sun and Der Weisse Ring

Days 3 and 4: Storm and Après-Storm

Skier Profile: Meaghan Walley
Ms. Meaghan Walley is another DC newcomer, and last but not least to our group. Ms. Walley is originally from St. Louis MO, has lived in DC for 4+ yrs, and has been to Germany but not Austria. When Meaghan is not leasing and managing property commercially, she enjoys the tri sports (run-swim-bike), driving range, occasional cooking catastrophes, satellite radio, coffee, gummi bears, and puffy vests. Meaghan can't stand being hot, and she's an earlobe frostbite survivor. This is her 2nd ski trip to Europe. Karaoke lovers take note: Meaghan knows many Shakira songs.

Ms. Emily Richard is a first-time ski holidayer. Ms. Richard hails from Detroit-area Michigan and lives in Washington DC with her UVA alum friend and windowsill herb garden. When Ms. Richard is not promoting cancer prevention and survival through nutrition or educating kids in advanced math, she enjoys coffee, new nephew, powerful blenders, Settlers of Qatan, triathloning, Trader Joes, and travel scrabble. Fun fact: Emily spent a year in Thailand where she raced mopeds professionally.

Tele-Skier Profile: Marc Oettinger
Mr. Marc Oettinger is once again the marketing director for this year's Ski Holiday. Marc is a Scorpio who enjoys fine dining, dancing, art history, language, sunsets, exercise, and delightful conversation. Marc has drawn upon the good and the bad in planning this ski adventure, and he hopes [expects] this to be the best snow trip ever.

Boarder Profile: Katy Downey
Ms. Katy Downey is also a third-year Ski Holidayer and first in from the St. Mike’s network. Katy is state trooper with absolutely no authority or jurisdiction in St. Anton. She Euro-phile who once hitch-hiked from Salzburg to Vienna with no Von Trapp family sightings whatsoever. She is looking forward to hurtling down the Alps on her snowboard with the tunes of Mozart dancing in her head. When not ski-holidaying, Katy enjoys impersonating the Rockettes. Ms. Downey is a recent inductee into the Alaskan Polar Bear Plunge Club.

Skier Bio: Robyn "Beena" Avery
Ms. Robyn "Beena" Avery is a third-year Ski Holidayer. Robyn lives in Boston, where she works as a Sr. Recruiter for a large pediatric hospital. When she's not recruiting and hiring, she spends her free time globe trotting and seeking adventures. Some of her favorite places to visit have been New Zealand, Iceland, Sweden and soon-to-add Austria. On the weekends she enjoys spinning, shopping and exploring new restaurants. You will also spot her at the après-ski with a glass of vino in hand.
Tele-Skier Bio: Terry Jennings
Mr. Terry "T-Bone" Jennings holidayed with us on the '07 trip to Verbier Switzerland, and the '09 adventure in the BC Rockies, Canada. Terry immigrated to Nuevo Mexico from his Colorado homeland to work as an environmental consultant in Los Alamos. When not jonesing for fresh powdah, he can be found riding his bikes, eating green chile, or saving the planet from environmental catastrophe. His hair has been known to get really big after a good day on the slopes.
